Matthew Moura

Registered Behavior Technician

Meet Matthew! Matthew is a Senior Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) and Social Group Coordinator. Matt has been with FBH since April of 2023. Matthew has a diverse background that blends his passion for psychology with hands-on experience in various roles. For the past two years, He’s been working as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), where he implements behavior intervention plans and provides direct support to individuals with behavioral and developmental challenges. Before that, he worked in mental health at a local hospital in Rhode Island, assisting patients with a range of psychological conditions. Alongside these roles, Matt also coaches and substitute teaches, which has allowed me to further develop my ability to engage with and motivate others. His background in psychology informs my approach in all these areas, helping me better understand and support those I work with. Matthew's favorite part of work at FBH is “I love what I do because it gives me the opportunity to make a real difference in people’s lives. Helping clients improve their quality of life is incredibly rewarding, and I find it fulfilling to watch them grow and reach their goals. Building meaningful relationships along the way is something I truly value, as it allows me to connect with others on a deeper level and offer the support they need to thrive.”

When Matthew isn’t at FBH “I love spending quality moments with my wife and kids. Whether it’s enjoying a family outing, playing games, or just relaxing at home, those moments mean a lot to me. I also make sure to carve out time for myself, and one of my favorite activities is playing basketball. It’s a great way to stay active, clear my mind, and have some fun. Whether it’s a pick-up game with friends or shooting hoops solo, basketball is my go-to way to unwind and stay connected with something I’ve always loved.”
